Tasting notes:
For almost 1,000 years grapes have been cultivated in this terroir in the best part of Navarra, in a vineyard site comprising gravel over clay soils, by monks, gentlemen and winemaking families. This wine is the first release from an exciting new project at Arínzano, designed to preserve the essence of terroir. Apart from the specific vineyard and cultivation techniques, Pureza comes from a most faithful element of terroir, the use of a spherical 800-litre concrete tank. This wine, pale lemon-yellow in colour, has yellow plum, pineapple and peach fruit accented by toast and vanilla notes. The palate is dry, but rich and ripe, quite warming, but well integrated and well balanced with very good length. This is a wine to pair with an elegant ‘party dish’, such as chicken saltimbocca.
