If you are looking for an ultimate Rioja, both in terms of packaging, price and personality, then this is the wine for you. With its black appearance, £300-plus on-shelf fee and powerful, complex taste, this is truly a luxury Rioja. Delivering layers of flavour, there are notes of spice and leather, cedar and cherry, prunes and pepper, orange and chocolate. As for the texture, this is a medium-weight red with plenty of mouthwatering tannins and warming alcohol too.
