Tasting notes:
A master-quality Malbec in my book, Mai from Kaiken Wines is a deliciousand serious red. Loaded with wonderfully ripe red fruits, there’s anappealing raspberry jam character to the wine, complemented by creamyvanilla, toasted marshmallow, and a fine dusting of peppery spice – this winehas layers of persistent flavours. Then there’s the structure. Yes it’s ripe,fleshy and sweet, but the frame is firm, with plenty of strong tannins. Lovelynow, but certainly cellar-worthy. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
