Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet is the estate of Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet who, in 2015, took over Bonnigal’s fourth-generation family domaine in the centre of the Loire Valley, near the Château Amboise. The wine, made using organic and biodynamic techniques, has a pale gold colour and ripe, juicy citrus and apple fruit accented by toasty oak. The midweight palate has good definition and very crisp acidity, with intriguing orange and hazelnut notes adding interest. A good pairing would be prawn and courgette blossom risotto.
