Tasting notes:

A family winery based in the Curicóvalley, the ‘home’ vineyards were firstplanted in 1939. The adobe wine cellar,Hacienda el Condor, is over a hundredyears old and has been restored in thetraditional colonial style. Nowadays,under the winemaking direction of AlexisCastro and Stefano Gandolini, a widerange of wines is produced from theoriginal vineyards and other family estatesin the Central Valley and the SouthernRegion. This Malbec is very deep purplecoloured, with ripe raspberry and Victoriaplum fruit accented by toast and vanillaoak. Intense and quite refined on thepalate, the wine shows fine tannins andgood freshness. A hint of meatiness onthe finish points to a pairing with searedcalves’ liver with sautéed onions andmushrooms.
