Church Road 1 is a single-site expression of fine Syrah. Located in the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine Growing District, the Redstone Vineyard is one of the warmest sites in Hawke’s Bay. The wine, deep ruby-purple in hue, displays blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry fruit, with coffee and vanilla wood and a violet accent. The flavours are framed by lively acidity and linen textured tannins. Layered and lingering, the wine will taste well with Mediterranean-style guinea fowl. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
