Tasting notes:

This wine is a perennial Gold award winner at the Fortified Masters. It comesfrom the De Bortoli Rutherglen winery and is a brilliant example ofRiverina’s renowned, ancestral liqueur wines. Deep tawny-brown, the wineis grapey with dried apricots, dried apples, dates and figs, tobacco andleather notes. The palate is sweet and showing plenty of cloves and allspice,with crisp acidity and some astringency giving structure. Not cloying andwith a lifted finish, the wine will match rich Christmas cake.
