Tasting notes:

Castello di Albola is set atop a range of hills at around 550-580m in Radda-in Chianti. Now part of Zonin1821, it has 98 hectares of carefully managed vineyards. Deep ruby-purple in hue, the wine displays brambles and black cherry fruit with dark chocolate and typical undertones of balsamic and earth. Medium-weight, the palate has tangy acidity and linen tannins, with spiced plums, and strawberry and raspberry coulis, giving added interest across the palate and on the finish. An excellent wine to match with pan-roasted veal with garlic and rosemary. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
