Capturing the quality of McLaren Vale’s great old-vine Syrah is this delicious wine from Hickinbotham, with its mix of juicy fruit, gentle spice, creamy oak and fine tannins. Flavour-wise there’s much to enjoy, from its fleshy red and dark berry fruit, fresh plums, then black pepper, cigar box, roasted coffee and dark chocolate, followed by a touch of dried mint and ripe, slightly chewy tannin on the finish.
