Tasting notes:

The Piccini family has been in Tuscan wine production since 1882, and involved as agriculturists for much longer. Their history and dedicated know how show through in this high-quality Chianti Superiore. Deep ruby-coloured, the wine shows ripe cherry and dark plum fruit and a typical clay-earth undertone. Dry, mouthwatering, the pristine, flavourful palate is bolstered by grainy-textured tannins and zippy acidity. Lovely cranberry fruit on the lifted finish suggests that this is a wine to pair with a juicy rôtisserie chicken and roasted potatoes. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
