A heritage Carmenere field blend from the northwestern corner of theCachapoal Valley on the Peumo estate, this Concha y Toro wine is astar. The wine has a deep ruby colour with black cherry, brambles andplum fruit, nuanced with dark chocolate and allspice accents. Thefleshy palate is sweet-fruited with well-integrated brisk acidity andsupple tannins. Complex and layered, this great-value wine will worknicely with barbecued baby goat ribs in a Hispanic dark mole sauce.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
