Tight, restrained fruit, made in areductive style with Marmite-ynotes from long lees contact.Underneath there is lemon, raspberry anda hint of anise, with fine pastry doughsubtleties and a tangy saline finish.Chiselled in style, it is appetising andconvincing. This is still in its infancy, andwould benefit from another five years’ageing, but is still truly lovely now. Afood wine, perfect for simply grilledscallops. (Siobhan Turner MW)
