How exciting to find a really good, affordable oak-influenced Provençal rosé that’s organic – and indeed, from a producer that’s also a powerful proponent of the carbon sequestering regenerative agriculture movement. That’s what you get with this ‘Réserve’ expression from Mirabeau, complete with its delicious combination of vanilla-cream and toasted almond, white cherry and yellow peach, ripe orange, and then a delicious finish combining a hint of coconut, chalk and bitter lemon. Hard not to drink quickly, but also a wine that deserves to be appreciated. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
