Tasting notes:

Raimat was founded in 1914 when Manuel Raventós i Domènech acquired an arid plot of land near Lleida, Costers del Segre. Today, with 2,245 hectares of certified organic vineyards, Raimat is a premier producer of Spanish ecologico wines. Pale gold in hue, the wine displays ripe peach and mirabelle fruit, with hints of orange zest and rosehips. Nearly dry, the palate is mid-weight, with the purity of Chardonnay balanced by lively acidity and a little leesy texture. Showing good length of finish, this crowd pleasing wine is an excellent match for creamy chicken salad with blanched almonds, celery and sweet red pepper, served in bite-sized choux pastry.
