One of the world’s great Champagnes – although strangely under the radar – Pommery’s Cuvée Louise is a delicious mix of fresh zestiness and creamy smokiness, with so much energy, even when released at almost 20 years old. This 2006 expression is bursting with interest, combining characters of caramelised nuts and honey on toast with orchard fruits and bitter lemon, while finishing very dry, with a lingering note of roasted coffee beans.
