VSPT Wine was formed in 2008 from two Chilean wine groups, Viña San Pedro and Viña Tarapacá. B-Liv is VSPT’s first brand under the company’s new eco-packaging policy and life-cycle costing undertaking, so B-Liv is setting the standards to develop the group’s entire portfolio under higher eco design standards. This wine, made with organically-grown grapes and certified vegan and carbon-neutral, is sourced from a number of Chilean regions. Almost opaque purple-black, the aromatics are packed with brambles, blackcurrants and black pepper, accented by tobacco from carefully-used wood and thyme, rosemary, and mint notes. Dry, and full-bodied, the palate flavours are framed by brisk acidity and dense velvet-textured tannins leading to a long herbal infused, gently spiced finish. A lovely wine to match lamb-chops with rosemary and fresh garlic, served with mint sauce. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
