Tasting notes:

Fleur de Champagne was the first premier cru Champagne producedafter the introduction of the Échelle des Crus over 100 years ago. Palelemon in hue with tiny bubbles and a narrow cordon, the aromasshow yellow plums and buttered toast with hedgerow and whiteflower accents. Brut-style, light and lemony, the wine lives up to its‘fleur’ name, with concentrated flavours balanced by racy acidity andvelvet-textured mousse, good definition and a lifted finish. Perfect fora summer garden party, the wine would also work nicely for asophisticated dinner party vegetarian dish, such as potato galettewith baby vegetables in saffron, thyme and lime butter sauce.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
