From winter pruning to harvest, the vineyard work is done by hand in thesehilly slopes at around 350m above sea level, near the hamlet of Guia inValdobbiadene. Pale lemon-yellow in hue with a defined cordon, thisexample of Valdobbiadene shows ripe pear and white peach fruit with a hintof lemon blossom. The off-dry (14g/l residual sugar), expressive palate hascreamy mousse texture and fresh lime acidity balancing the flavour. Goodlength and purity suggest that this is a wine to match seared fish withskinny fries. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
