Tasting notes:
If you love your Pinots to be juicy, generous and refreshing, then this RussianRiver expression from Patz & Hall will float your boat, and brilliantly so.There’s just so much juicy crushed strawberry character, complemented bysome ripe tomato and sweet cherry, and yet, despite all the fleshy fruit, it’s soft, with no harsh elements, or hot alcohol. Indeed, the finish is fresh, with orangezest and a dusting of fine, dry chalky-textured tannin, while the feel is mediumweight.Indeed, this may be a full-flavoured Pinot, but it’s not heavy, jammy orlacking in acidity. Delicious right now, though it could be cellared for a furtherthree to five years. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
