Tasting notes:
The grapes for this delightful wine are grown on the rolling ‘hogback hillsides’which were formed by ancient shifts in tectonic plates when Africa crashedinto Europe. The myriad soils leave their imprint on this wine. Ripe orchardfruits – cherry, white peach – dominate; lemon blossom, and hints of redearth and chalk notes, add interest. Medium-dry (17 g/l residual sugar), thelight-bodied palate is pristine and vinous, with good intensity of flavour.Lively acidity and brittle mousse texture give a bit of grip through to thelong, savoury finish. A wine to excite when matched to ceviche with limeand coriander, or lemon-infused chicken. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
