A different expression of Carmenere from the TerraNoble stable, thisone hails from closer to the coast with its cooler temperatures andlonger growing season. Very deep ruby in hue, the wine displays mixedberries and cherries with smoke, tobacco and a crushed chilli pepperspice lift. Dry, the palate shows a juicy attack, crisp acidity andcorduroy-textured tannins with black peppercorn and lemon zestnuances. Elegant and zesty, the wine will suit crispy lemon pestochicken, served with red rice and grilled sweet peppers.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
