Tasting notes:
This is a big, bold wine, full of black cherry, blackcurrant, and rhubarb fruitwith a touch of citronella paying tribute to the Carmenere, even if only 10% ofthe blend. Very skilfully crafted, with oak and alcohol both high but beautifullyintegrated, and firm, structured tannins well managed. This is not a subtle wine,but it is a delicious, fleshy and decadent one. If I had one caveat, it would be theweight of the bottle, which is extraordinary. Serve with meat, ideally barbecued.(Siobhan Turner MW)
