Tasting notes:
The deep purple colour is matched by complex and intense blue and blackberry fruit,with hints of cinnamon, cloves and raspberries. The fruit is intense but pure on thepalate, with fine, high acidity. The tannins are firm but well-managed – grippy butnot rough – and the high alcohol is well-integrated and balanced by the intensity ofthe other elements. This is a bold wine – it needs roast meat or (since it is alsovegan) a deeply savoury wild mushroom stew.(Siobhan Turner MW)
