Celebrate Lunar New Year with these 6 limited-edition bottles
Today (Tuesday 17 February) marks the start of Lunar New Year. Over the past few months, the upcoming year of the Fire Horse has fuelled a wave of limited-edition releases from across the drinks industry, and we’ve rounded up six that should be on your radar.

1. Highland Park
Highland Park has partnered with creative studio Butterfly Cannon to launch a limited-edition Single Malt Whisky. Inspired by the Fire Horse, the ‘Different by Nature’ release reflects the wild, windswept character of the brand’s Orkney home. The plastic-free packaging features a double-layer, laser-cut outer shell with a sliding, side-opening structure that reveals a sequence of animated frames. As the pack is opened, a horse appears to gallop across the surface – a symbol of the Fire Horse’s energy and transformative power.

2. House of Martell
Martell Cordon Bleu has been reimagined for the Year of the Horse with a special edition design featuring equine artwork by He Datian. Combining traditional Chinese brushwork with a contemporary aesthetic, the bottle celebrates the spirit of the Horse while showcasing one of the Maison’s most iconic expressions.

3. Château Patache d’Aux
Château Patache d’Aux is marking Lunar New Year with a limited-edition bottle presented in an exclusive gift box. A Cru Bourgeois Supérieur with a long and distinguished history in the Médoc, the estate’s label has long featured a horse-drawn carriage – a patache – pulled by three horses, symbolising the three families who have shaped its legacy.
This enduring emblem has inspired the Lunar New Year release, which offers a modern interpretation of the estate’s visual heritage. The design reflects themes of renewal and prosperity at the heart of the celebration, while remaining true to the character and provenance of this northern Médoc wine.

4. Moët Hennessy
Moët Hennessy has unveiled a Year of the Fire Horse Limited Editions collection, featuring special releases of Hennessy V.S.O.P, Hennessy X.O and Hennessy Paradis. The designs reinterpret the Fire Horse through contemporary visual storytelling and are presented in fully recyclable paper gift boxes.

5. 1664

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, 1664 has collaborated with French artist Camille Walala on a limited-edition collection. Walala has reimagined the packaging for 1664 Blanc, Rosé and Brut, supported by immersive activations, digital experiences and exclusive merchandise across Asia. Known for her bold geometric style, the artist blends the brand’s Parisian heritage with a vibrant, modern aesthetic.
6. Tomatin
Highland distiller Tomatin has released a limited single cask whisky to mark the Year of the Horse. The 2026 edition is a 2011 single cask bottling matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry butt. The cask – known as a bota gorda – is larger than a standard butt and was sourced directly from a bodega in Jerez, Spain. Its previous use in a sherry solera has imparted rich PX character, while the larger format allows the distillery’s signature spirit to retain its complexity.
Non-chill filtered and natural in colour, the whisky is presented in Tomatin’s signature bottle, finished with a red label symbolising good fortune and prosperity for the Lunar New Year.
