Here’s what the stars ate and drank at The Golden Globes 2026

Some of entertainment’s brightest stars, from Timothée Chalamet to Jenna Ortega, gathered in California to mark the 83rd Golden Globes Awards. But what luxury pours and fine fare set the tone for the evening? db finds out.

What did Golden Globes guests eat and drink

The annual awards ceremony, often seen as an unofficial precursor to March’s Academy Awards, was hosted by American comedian Nikki Glaser at the Beverly Hills Hotel on 11 January. The night also saw winners including Teyana Taylor, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne take home trophies.

It might come as no surprise that Moët & Chandon took centre stage as the ceremony’s official Champagne partner, considering it was their 34th year of doing so.

The Maison kickstarted proceedings with its ‘Toast for a Cause’ initiative, in partnership with Entertainment Tonight, where stars from  Margaret Qualley and Ariana Grande, raised Moët Minis on the red carpet, in support of more than 25 charities.

Fizz affair

But the Champagne House had surprises up their sleeves for 2026: A suave, red vending machine was new this year, stocked full of Moët Minis with Champagne pouring out at the push of a button, keeping the good times flowing.

As the awards commenced, celebs kept up the festivities, enjoying bottles of Moët & Chandon’s Impérial Brut and Rosé Impérial range at their tables, with winners able to toast their victory with trophy bottles in the Winner’s Room.

For those sticking to Dry January, or simply opting to stay hydrated, Saratoga spring water was also available.

Lavish spread

In terms of food, fish was at the forefront: high-end restaurant chain Nobu headed up a succulent seafood menu for the third year running, with chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa at the helm.

The menu was revealed courtesy of a social media snap from The New York Times’ Kyle Buchanan: it included a  caviar cup, lobster salad with spicy lemon dressing, salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri and miso black cod.

Notably bereft of carbs, Vanity Fair coyly dubbed it “a protein plate for the Ozempic era”.

Lavish gift bags

Dessert included decadent white chocolate mousse with pistachio sponge, as well as a matcha cake, topped with a Golden Globe-branded edible coin.

Several Nobu restaurants even offered takeaway menus inspired by the event, meaning guests could enjoy the fine-dining fair minus all the red carpet glitz.

But the goody bags might be harder to replicate at home. For 2026, the Golden Globes revealed its most lavish winners’ gift bag yet, valued at just under US$1 million.

Gift bag recipients were invited to tailor their selections. According to the organisers, one recipient will have the option to claim nine ultra-rare bottles of Liber Pater from the 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2018 and 2019 vintages, valued at US$210,000.

Exclusive bottles

The Isle of Harris Distillery also created a six-bottle case of whisky from a cask produced exclusively for the Golden Globes recipients, valued at US$1,080 and limited to around 35 people. All recipients are eligible for a bottle of Cygnet 22 and 77 with martini and rocks glasses by Erik Lorincz, valued at US$500.

Robb Report also curated a three-bottle Discovery Level membership to its 672 Napa Valley Wine Club, valued at US$300 and available to three recipients. Meanwhile, the Isle of Harris Distillery produced a six-bottle case of whisky from a cask produced exclusively for those receiving goody bags, valued at US$1,080 and limited to around 35 people.
