Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty send wedding guests home with £190 Tequila
The controversial wedding between chef Gordan Ramsay’s daughter and Olympian Adam Peaty has racked up thousands of column inches due to the groom’s family allegedly being ‘uninvited’. But which high-end Tequila did the pair splash out on for guests’ favours? And could a brand collaboration be in the pipeline?

Social media feeds have been groaning with teaser shots from the Hello magazine deal agreed by Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty for exclusive coverage of their much anticipated wedding on 27 December. From security agents shoving paparazzi away from the church steps to multiple dress changes and the first dance with father-of-the-bride Gordon Ramsay, the ceremony held at the historic Bath Abbey was one of the most talked about events of 2025.
Curiously, and despite both bride and groom reportedly being teetotal, one spirits brand was at the heart of the action.
Guests attending the nuptials are said to have each received a personalised bottle of Don Julio Tequila 1942, engraved with the married couple’s initials and the date of the wedding: H&A 27.12.25.
“Emblem of good taste”
Made in small quantities, the 1942 Don Julio is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 2.5 years and is a tribute to the year in which founder Don Julio Gonzalez first began making Tequila. Handpicked agave plants are used, the agave slowly roasted for 70 hours. According to the brand, the 1942 has aromas of “caramel and intense chocolate” with “vanilla and fine touches of spices” on the palate. The Tequila maker further claims that the expression’s signature tall, sleek bottle “isn’t just a conversation starter, it’s an emblem of good taste”.
It’s not the first time that Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty have publicised the brand. Just months before, Peaty presented his bride-to-be with a bespoke bottle of Tequila by the same producer, allegedly worth £600. The bottle of Don Julio was embossed with the words ‘Future Mrs Peaty’.

No expense spared
Extravagance has become the couple’s calling card, with no expense spared for their wedding— Gordon Ramsay is thought to have splashed out £50,000 on flowers alone — so it is no surprise that the pair chose an ultra-premium spirit to thank their guests for attending.
However as db reported, Don Julio’s parent company Diageo recently came under fire regarding its “pure agave” claims over the ingredient reportedly used to make the Tequila. In November, Diageo moved to dismiss the legal claims against the company, calling the accusations “implausible” and “manufactured”, and reiterating that both its Tequila brands (Casamigos and Don Julio) are “proudly made from 100% Blue Weber agave”.
The exposure from the Holly Ramsay/Adam Peaty wedding may have provided the brand with more positive media coverage.
It may also be no coincidence that Don Julio is a favourite of Victoria Beckham, a close family friend of the Ramsays, with the former Spice Girl having promoted the Tequila at Paris Fashion Week. If the newly weds do decide to become official ambassadors for the spirit, they will be joining a host of famous faces aligned with drinks brands, as db detailed in the biggest celebrity drinks collaborations of 2025.
