Kylie’s Petit Rosé becomes UK’s number one ‘lighter alcohol’ wine

Just weeks after launching the latest addition to her best-selling range, Kylie Minogue has seen her 7% ABV Petit Rosé shoot to the top of the leader board.

Kylie Minogue Wines launched its Petit Rosé last month, with the pop star telling the drinks business the product was the result of “a winemaking accident”.

The gently sparkling pink wine has just 7% ABV, is vegan-friendly and offers “bright notes of summer berries and soft floral tones”, according to the producer’s tasting notes, hitting many consumer trends all at once.

Celebrity wine expert Paul Schaafsma, who launched Kylie’s wine range through Benchmark Wines, reveals that the Petit Rosé has shot up the sales leader board for lighter wines, with sales “more than double those of its nearest competitor.” This information he gleaned from Nielsen data for the eight weeks ending 4 October 2025.

Zebra striping

The success of her latest release mirrors previous triumphs in the no and low alcohol category, with Kylie Minogue Wines Sparkling driving 46%* of all growth in the low and no-alcohol wine segment over the past two years. Its popularity has been bolstered by the “zebra striping” drinking trend, which sees people alternate between full strength and 0% products during the evening, with more than a quarter of people now adopting this habit when visiting pubs and bars.

Kylie Minogue’s collection has sold more than 22 million bottles to date, with her Petit Rosé priced at £8 via UK supermarkets Tesco and Morrisons.

The wine offers “all the character of rosé in a refreshing and modern style – perfect for life’s Petit moments,” says the team behind the launch, and is ideal as an aperitif or paired with a fresh burrata and peach salad.
