Laithwaites launches Deliveroo partnership for on-demand wine
Laithwaites has teamed up with Deliveroo to offer a curated selection of its wines on-demand, with 60 bottles now available for rapid delivery in London, Bristol, Manchester, Brighton and Cambridge.

Curated wines on demand
The partnership sees Deliveroo HOP customers gain access to wines chosen by Laithwaites’ buying team for their quality and value. The range spans everyday pours to weekend indulgences.
Among the highlights are The Black Stump, Laithwaites’ bestselling red, Château La Clarière, a Bordeaux passion project of founder Tony Laithwaite, and Il Papavero, the Italian red that holds the title of most re-ordered wine in the merchant’s range.
The move responds to changing consumer behaviour, with more drinkers seeking single bottles for spontaneous gatherings. Deliveroo’s rapid service means wine can now be added to an evening as quickly as ordering a takeaway.
Looking ahead
The companies plan to expand the partnership to include food and wine pairing guidance. Customers will be able to match their bottle with dishes ranging from pizza to pad thai, with the aim of recreating a sommelier-style experience at home.

Suzy McClintock, VP of New Verticals at Deliveroo, added: “Our new partnership with Laithwaites, a leader in the world of wine, is a great example of how Deliveroo is expanding our on demand offering with best in class brands. By integrating Laithwaites’ curated selection of wines, we’re not only providing customers with access to incredible products on-demand, but we’re also helping Laithwaites connect with a new generation of customers who value high quality and convenience.”
