Dachser expands wine and spirits logistics in APAC
German logistics firm Dachser has announced it will expand its wine and spirits operations in Asia Pacific, a region which it believes presents “significant opportunities”.

According to Dachser, the Asia Pacific wine and spirits market is projected to grow at a rate of 5-6% year-on-year until 2030.
The region therefore presents “significant opportunities for Dachser to apply our established expertise in wine and spirits logistics”, according to Roman Mueller, managing director for air & sea logistics Asia Pacific for the firm.
Dachser, headquartered in Kempten, Germany, has been operating in Asia Pacific markets for 45 years. Its more than 40 locations in the region include sites in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Mumbai, and Ho Chi Minh City.

The logistics firm has also recently expanded in the region, with new operations in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Dachser has also opened sales offices in Thailand’s Chiang Mai and Vietnam’s Da Nang.
Its new offering in the region combines air and sea freight services with the well-established European network of Dachser Road Logistics.
Its services include air, sea (FCL and LCL), and European road freight, along with buyers’ consolidation, customs clearance, warehousing, temperature-controlled handling, and insurance. “We consolidate shipments from multiple European suppliers to a single consignee and act as a one-stop logistics partner,” said Sébastien Ferrandiz, business development manager, food and beverage logistics, Asia Pacific.
Dachser generated consolidated net revenue of approximately €8 billion in 2024, handling 83.2 million shipments with a total tonnage of 44.1 million metric tonnes.
