The queen of grapes might be difficult to grow, but it never goes out of style thanks to its fantastic diversity. Enter the Global Pinot Noir Masters before 1 March for the chance to win a medal.

‘Heartbreak grape’, ‘drama queen’… despite the lack of positivity in those nicknames, Pinot Noir seems to remain a timeless variety, always sought-after but somehow above the trends, appealing to all types of wine drinkers, from traditional Burgundy enthusiasts to Gen Z natural wine lovers.

Why is that? Pinot Noir is a grape of many acts: also known as Pinot Nero or Spätburgunder, it makes brilliant fruit-driven sparkling wine as well as oaked, age-worthy reds or youthful whole bunch reds.

Our most extensive competition, the Global Pinot Noir Masters, is the perfect opportunity to put your wines in the spotlight and give your hard work some recognition.

Next month, a panel of expert judges comprised of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers will gather to blind taste entries for the 11th edition of the Global Pinot Noir Masters competition.

Open to any style of Pinot Noir, the contest aims at identifying the best expressions of this grape variety across the world. Entries are open until the 1st of March and results will be published in the April issue of the drinks business magazine and online.
