Cambodian mixology to be showcased in Singapore
Cambodia’s leading cocktail venue Sora Bar at Rosewood Phnom Penh is set to take over for two guest shifts in Singapore-based bars next month.
The guest shifts, which will be led by Bob Louison, director of bars at Rosewood Phnom Penh and Cambodian-native and bar manager Udom Chhoun, are due to take place on 6 May at The Bar at 15 Stamford and 8 May at Smoke & Mirrors in Singapore.
The mixology takeovers are set to serve a sneak peek of Sora Bar’s new progressive menu named the ‘Book of Yokai’ which, according to the bar is “wrapped in authentic Japanese storytelling” and the guest spots at each of the Singapore bars is anticipated to include “four cocktails from its new menu that will spotlight Cambodian ingredients such as rice, palm sugar and Kampot pepper” to really help showcase Cambodia as a melting pot for both skillset and flavour.

The takeover coincides with Singapore Cocktail Festival which returns with a 17-day calendar from 5-21 May to the nation’s Bayfront Event Space before expanding across the city where it is due to showcase signature cocktails across 45 of Singapore’s best bars.
The first guest shift for Sora Bar at Rosewood Phnom Penh on 6 May at The bar at 15 Stamford will take place from 8pm-11pm, while the guest shift on the 8 May at Smoke & Mirrors will begin at 7pm and end by 11pm.
