Starting from 1 October, Hatch will take over distribution from Alliance Wines of all the ‘Zuccardi’ wines including; ‘Finca’, ‘Aluvional’, ‘Fosil’ and the ‘Q’ and ‘Serie A’ ranges. Watermill Wines will continue to distribute the Santa Julia range.

Patrick McGrath MW, managing director of Hatch Mansfield, siad: “Argentina has been a notable gap in our portfolio and we are delighted to be representing Zuccardi. They are a perfect addition to our portfolio in our 25th anniversary year.

“As pioneers in the region, they are recognised as producing sublime wines of the highest quality. They have a full tier of qualities offering something for every type of customer and consumer.

“We can see a huge opportunity for their wines in this market and look forward to building their business and profile in the UK. We already have some exciting plans in the pipeline”.

José Alberto Zuccardi, managing director of Familia Zuccardi, added: “Our company is evolving fast in many exciting ways, and the chance to ally ourselves with such a great portfolio of wines as Hatch Mansfield’s will see a union of shared philosophies and a meeting of kindred spirits, and my whole family are hugely excited to be working with them.”

“We have a strong history in the UK and we are very grateful to Alliance for all their efforts. This is a strategic move to expand our presence in this key market.”

Hatch Mansfield, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last week is already the UK distributor for several high profile fine wine domaines, including Champagne Taittinger, Louis Jadot, Gaja, Viña Errazuriz and Villa Maria.
