Chateau St. Jean, in Sonoma County, California is now offering an escape room as one of the activities available to visitors.
For those who find standard wine tastings a little too tame, Chateau St. Jean has jumped on the growing industry for escape rooms, and introduced their own as a novel wine tasting experience.
Groups of six to 12 people are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine before they start the “Unlock the Chateau” experience. Groups then work together to solve a variety of riddles and puzzles in 60 minutes by using the hints and clues provided.
Visitors enjoy a second glass of wine once they have gained access to the second room, and on unlocking “the secret of the Chateau” and escaping, they are then treated to a flight of wine!
This blend of excitement and reward costs $60 per person and can be accessed via the winery’s website.
