Mirabeau appoints ex-Moët talent as sales director

Provence rosé producer Mirabeau has appointed ex-Moët on-trade sales manager Peter Edwards as its new sales director for the UK and Ireland.

Effective from 1 June, Edwards joins the family run business from Moet Hennessy UK Ltd where he most recently managed its national on-trade client base as well as working in other sales roles during his almost 18 years with the LVMH Group.

On the appointment, Stephen Cronk, founder of Mirabeau en Provence, said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have Peter joining our business – his proven track record in sales and brand building places him perfectly to help further establish Mirabeau’s position in the hugely important UK market.

“I’m really happy that we are able to attract such talent to Mirabeau, a relative newcomer in the world of wine brands, and delighted that Peter sees the potential for a quality Provence rosé brand with a unique and engaging approach to consumer marketing. Peter will be working across all channels in the UK market and will help cement Mirabeau as the most popular Provence brand in the UK.”

Founded in 2010 by British couple Stephen and Jeany Cronk, who left their home in south-west London to pursue their dream of making wine in the south of France, produces dry pink wines, including its Mirabeau Classic and Mirabeau Pure 2015 – both of which are a blend of Grenache and Syrah.

The Mirabeau range of rosé wines are now being sold in over 45 countries and in the UK they are available through Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Bibendum and Matthew Clark.
