‘Rosé Revolution’ returns to Hong Kong

Showcasing over 25 classic rosés, the Flying Winemaker Eddie McDougall’s popular wine festival will return to Hong Kong next month.

Up to 400 visitors are expected to descend on Hullett House’s The Garden and Whisky Stables for Eddie McDougall’s Rosé Revolution which will offer pink pours from renowned rosé producers, including Whispering Angel, M Chapoutier, AIX Rosé and Daumas Gassac on Saturday, 7 May coinciding with Mother’s Day.

The event moves to Singapore on 14 May, then make its debut in Shanghai on 21 May before coming to Macau on 28 May.

“The Rosé Revolution has built a reputation for not only the variety and quality of wines, but also as an opportunity for beginners, day drinkers, wine lovers and experts alike to mix and mingle whilst enjoying an awesome day out,” said McDougall.

“Rosé from wineries such as Whispering Angel, M Chapoutier, AIX Rosé, Daumas Gassac, Brown Brothers and Gerard Bertrand will whet the palate and tantalise the taste buds with their depth and an impressive array of flavours. With a complete range from boutique vineyards to world-renowned wineries, it is a rosé lover’s paradise.”

Despite Hong Kong remaining a red wine-dominated market, rosé is gaining more popularity with the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins de Provence (CIVP), reporting a 32% growth of rosé sales in 2015.
