Wynns in ‘make your own blend’ HK pop up

Wine enthusiasts can try their hand at blending their own wine at Wynns’ blending workshops at the Taste of Hong Kong festival next week.

On offer throughout the festival from 10-13 March, Wynns will introduce a ‘make your own blend’ workshop so that fans of the Coonawarra estate can learn the delicate art of blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot grapes.

Wynns will host 11 sessions for up to 20 participants who can then take their prized bottlings and enjoy them at home. Tickets and timings for the workshops can be found here:

Iconic wines from Wynns Coonawarra Estate will also be available for tastings, including the flagship labels, Wynns John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon and Wynns Michael Shiraz, Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon, Wynns The Banker Cabernet Sauvignon, Wynns Coonawarra Cabernet Shiraz Merlot, Wynns Coonawarra Riesling and Wynns Coonawarra Chardonnay.

Wynns Coonawarra is one of South Australia’s oldest and most renowned estates with the first vineyards planted in the iconic terra rossa soil in 1891 by Scotsman, John Riddoch.

In 1951, entrepreneur David Wynn purchased the winery and vineyard and is credited with putting Coonawarra on the map as a premium-wine producing region. The winery created its first Wynns Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon in 1954 – now known as Wynns Black Label – and today is presided over by winemaker, Sue Hodder.
