SIAL prepares to open its doors

The SIAL food exhibition will take place in Paris later this month, from 21-25 October.

This year SIAL is launching a “Food connections” concept to demonstrate the exhibition’s focus on product and market trends.

Olivia Grosbois-Milan, SIAL’s new Group Director said: “The ‘Food Connections’ concept is the most faithful reflection of what SIAL is all about: an international event that brings together professionals from the world of agribusiness and helps to forge mutual links, affinities, and relationships. In short, ‘connections’.

SIAL will have 6,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and 140,000 visitors; the retail sector is the largest represented at the exhibition.

The exhibition also offers a wide range of events and this year will see the launch of SIAL TV, which will broadcast news on the food sector.

Also on offer will be the wine innovation forum, which will hold a number of conferences in collaboration with major international brands. There will also be a best buy competition to find wines that provide the best value for money.
