Online private wine seller launches

A new online wine retailer called Perfect Cellar has been launched, drawing on the experience of oenologist Vincent Honoratis to offer its members hard-to-source French wines.

With free membership, Perfect Cellar seeks out wines from lesser known French producers and regions and then offers them to its members for a limited time or until they sell out.

Honorat, a judge for both the Concours General Agricole and Concours des Vins d’Orange, said: “We’re able to offer our members seriously fine wines at prices that are far less than you would find at traditional wine merchants.

“Many of our wines appear on the wine lists of Michelin-starred restaurants, both in the UK and also in France.

“And because we buy direct from smaller producers and in fixed quantities, we can offer our members great deals on wines that they won’t find anywhere else.”

One such offer is a mixed case of six wines dubbed “The Perfect Mixed Case”. Available at £78.95 it includes a bottle of Brisson Jonchère Champagne, Henri Bourgeois, Le Petit Bourgeois 2007; Château de Parsac 2006 and Domaine Seguela, Les Candalières 2007.

The wine list will be kept constantly updated with new wines and offers.
