Sunrise Beverages makes £25K investment into the ICA
Sunrise Beverages, which owns beer brands such as St Peter’s, Efes, Orion, Portobello, Wild Beer Co and Gipsy Hill, has made a £25,000 investment into London cultural hub the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA).

The investment secures Sunrise Beverages with a two-year partnership with the venue and will be used to refurbish the entire bar area at the ICA. Managed in partnership with Bistroteque, the bar stocks two Sunrise brands on draught, Efes and Hepcat draught, and packaged beers from the wider portfolio.
Bold ambitions
Speaking about this next step, Sunrise Beverages chief executive Richard Mather said: “The account with the ICA came to us through Efes, which we are the UK licensee for. As a company we have bold ambitions and are committed to growth. Investing in venues and being able to give back to the people and places that support our brands is all part of our ongoing strategy.”

Mather added: “We are thrilled to have secured a two-year partnership with such an established venue, which will increase product visibility for all [drinks from] Sunrise Beverages served at the ICA, including prominent placement on all self ordering units and inclusion of our logo on menus and bar promotions.”
Sunrise Beverages recently made a £100,000 investment into Ashford-based Curious Brewery to “enhance overall production capabilities and efficiencies”.The move, which has been rumoured to precede potential consolidation, was revealed when the group’s boss told db that the investment was part of the business’s plans to place Curious “at the centre of this from a supply perspective”.
Investment is far-reaching
He added: “At Sunrise, our mission is to support and grow the legacy of the businesses we have acquired by investing in not only the facilities, but the people and their expertise too.”
