Beer and fishing collaboration to catch angler demographic
AB InBev-owned beer brand Busch Light has collaborated with Bass Pro Shops and also launched a contest to further solidify its position as the beer for every angler.

In time for the fishing season and marking Busch Light’s first-ever collaboration with Bass Pro Shops, AB InBev will be releasing a range of special collector’s edition Busch Light beer cans. The limited-time-only cans are set to showcase the retailer’s logo and an exclusive new fish design.
‘Commitment to anglers’
Speaking to the drinks business, Anheuser Busch’s head of marketing for the Busch family and Natural Light family Krystyn Stowe said: “This first‑ever collaboration between Busch Light and Bass Pro Shops brings together two of the most iconic names in the outdoor community. We’re proud to introduce limited‑edition collector cans that celebrate our shared commitment to anglers and outdoor enthusiasts across the country.”
Stowe told db: “Together, we’re honouring the passion of those who spend their time on the water—and strengthening the connection consumers have with two brands that have long supported America’s love of the outdoors.”
Partner Content
Added to this, AB InBev has also launched the Bass Bank, a US-wide contest inviting anglers to pitch their most innovative fishing ideas for a chance to bring it to life. The beer giant highlighted how, “as most anglers know, some of the best ideas come when drinking a cold beer after a day on the water, so Busch Light wants to encourage anglers to dream up their ideal fishing invention, while enjoying a cold and smooth Busch Light in a special Bass Pro Shops fishing can”.
Prizes
Entries to the Bass Bank can be submitted online from this week. Judges for the competition include the Busch Guy as well as outdoor adventurers and content creators and The Keefer Brothers, who are known for their wilderness expertise and survival skills.
The prize, which will be US$15,000, will mean that the winner can bring their invention to life. To assist with this, the winner will also gain a session with The Keefer Brothers to take the idea to the workshop with some of the greatest outdoor experts also on hand to offer their guidance.
Additionally, the winner will also receive a year’s worth of Busch Light beer to assist in slow days fishing.
