Nyetimber has released the 2016 vintage of its prestige cuvée 1086 Rosé, produced only in exceptional years from selected parcels. The blend
comprises 72% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir. Despite low yields in 2016, fruit quality was high following a warm summer and extended ripening. The 1086 range was ranked as top sparkling wine in the world at London Wine Fair’s Battle of the Bubbles (1086 by Nyetimber 2010). Now available in Selfridges. RRP: £150 Contact: Nyetimber, nyetimber.com
2. TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES GRAND MALBEC 2022
Terrazas de los Andes has released the 2022 vintage of Grand Malbec, a blend drawn from 12 high-altitude plots across four estate vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, ranging from 1,070 metres to 1,650 metres. The cool 2022 season delivered lower temperatures and slow, even ripening, resulting in wines with high natural acidity and pronounced aromatic definition. The blend was aged for one year in a mix of first- and second-use oak. The wine shows plum, cherry, violets and herbal notes, with juicy tannins and a long, balanced finish.
