Rosewood Phnom Penh to throw cocktail festival for eighth anniversary

Rosewood Phnom Penh will celebrate its eighth anniversary next month with a two-day event combining a sustainability summit and a cocktail festival.

The Sora Sustainable Summit x Phnom Penh Cocktail Festival will take place on 6 and 7 February, bringing together hotel operators, bartenders and industry figures to discuss environmental practices while showcasing regional and global bar talent.

The event comes after Sora, the hotel’s rooftop bar, took home the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award at the World’s 50 Best Bars Awards 2025, an accolade recognising efforts to embed sustainability into bar operations.

Daniel Simon, managing director of Rosewood Phnom Penh, said the anniversary was an opportunity to share lessons learned rather than celebrate luxury alone. “Sustainability is not a trend for us; it is a responsibility and an opportunity,” he said. “Through Sora, we have shown that world-class bar culture and environmental responsibility can coexist naturally..”

At the Sora Sustainable Summit, guests can expect talks and panel discussions with guest speakers discussing how sustainability is being incorporated into daily hospitality operations – from sourcing and waste reduction to creative reuse and long-term planning.

In the evenings, the focus shifts to the second edition of the Phnom Penh Cocktail Festival, hosted at Sora.

Sixteen bars from across Asia will take part, with the line-up including venues from Shanghai, Hanoi, Bangkok, Taipei, Jakarta and Colombo, alongside bars from across Cambodia.

Local participants include Roodbar, Sromoal, Kravat and Mawsim from Phnom Penh, as well as Spin and Bar 43 from Siem Reap and Wave from Kep.

Opened in 2018, Rosewood Phnom Penh occupies the upper floors of the capital’s Vattanac Capital Tower.
