Prowein 2026: shaped for the future
ProWein Düsseldorf will unite the global drinks industry in March 2026, celebrating its role as a dynamic meeting point where the sector comes together to exchange ideas, build partnerships and drive future business forward.

Prowein Düsseldorf, which will take place from 15 to 17 March 2026, is marking the start of a new era. Using “shape, create, elevate” as its three guiding principles, ProWein Düsseldorf director Frank Schindler explains: “ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 will be held with a goal to “encourage the industry to take a bold, creative and forward-looking approach to the future”.
This year will see a new hall concept introduced, which means that around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries will move into Halls 1 to 7. And so, with the same exhibition area, everyone will benefit from significantly greater visibility and a clear, country-based structure. Additionally, the revised layout is set to shorten walking distances by around 30%, helping attendees get the most out of their appointment schedules.
Feedback from global exhibitors regarding this feature has already been exceptionally positive, says Schindler, and planning is largely complete for the event to begin its promotional build-up and for the rest of the drinks sector to start booking in meetings and making plans to meet up.
Other innovations for 2026 involve the fact that ProWein Düsseldorf is redefining what a trade fair can be, enriching the product portfolio with curated, immersive elements that reflect and bring current trends to life. For instance, the ProWein Agora, with its stage, will form the social heart of the fair – a space for trends, innovations and future-focused topics. This area will also host inspiring keynote speeches, visionary talks and a wealth of impulses for the industry.
Prowein Zero
With the rise of alcohol-free drinks trends, the team will showcase ProWein Zero as a central hub for everyone wishing to explore the world of no- and low-alcohol wines, spirits and cocktails, accompanied by interactive tastings, insights into market trends and presentations from international innovation leaders.
Additionally, the ProWein Sparkling Visions area will highlight the growing fizz segment, from Prosecco and Champagne through to sekt and Cava, all housed in Hall 4. ProWein Organic Visions, located in Hall 1, will also gather the international offering of organic, biodynamic and sustainably produced wines together in one place.
The dynamically expanding spirits segment at ProWein Düsseldorf continues to sharpen its profile: for the first time, ProSpirits will occupy two complete halls with 500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries – sending a strong signal about the relevance of this segment. To connect exhibitors and trade visitors even more effectively, ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 has introduced its new Hosted Buyers & Concierge Programme, ensuring the presence of top international buyers from key global markets.

There will also be an improved product database and the event’s completely redesigned matchmaking tool, Fair Match, to help supply and demand to connect more efficiently.

More convenient and accessible
According to Schindler, the show will be “even more convenient and accessible for trade visitors”. This includes. amongst other things, an expanded hotel booking platform offering exclusive discounts. ProWein’s new direction also brings a fresh pulse to the city through ProWein City Vibes. Contemporary, social and unmistakably urban, it brings wine and spirits into the rhythm of Düsseldorf. Each evening, the city becomes a lively stage where professionals, gastronomy and enthusiasts naturally converge. This vibrant atmosphere turns Düsseldorf into a true capital of wine.
Ultimately, the fair will “inspire visitors with a festival-like atmosphere and memorable experiences that bring current trends to life”, Schindler explains, pointing out that the goal “is to build a sustainable pathway that delivers real value for the industry”.
He adds: “This is only the beginning. Many more innovations and highlights are planned in the coming years, making ProWein Düsseldorf even more attractive, and relevant. Our goal is to give the industry the momentum and the right framework to take action, shape the future together, and generate business.”
Tickets are now available at www.prowein.com, starting at €20 (US$24/£18) per person.
