Taste Spain London, a new trade event dedicated to Spanish food, wine and gastronomy, will launch in the UK early next year, bringing producers, buyers and trade professionals together under one roof.

Taste Spain London will take place at Mare Street Market, King’s Cross, on Tuesday 24 February 2026.

Organised by Foods and Wines from Spain, Taste Spain London aims to highlight the finest Spanish produce and culinary traditions, with an emphasis on the growing importance of food and wine pairing within the on-trade and specialist retail sector.

Fernando Muñoz, director at Foods and Wines from Spain UK, said: “We are starting 2026 with an exciting new event where fine Spanish food, wine and gastronomy come to life.”

Exhibitors will include a curated mix of producers already distributed in the UK alongside those seeking new representation.

Food and wine pairing

Visitors will be able to taste a wide range of Spanish products, including cheeses, cured meats, olive oils and wines. Prominent chefs, sommeliers and wine professionals are set to lead the masterclasses and tutorials throughout the day.

Muñoz added that the event will reflect a “passion for the finest ingredients, love of artisanal tradition and respect for culinary excellence.”

Spain Food Nation Summit returns

Taste Spain London will also host the 2026 Spain Food Nation Summit, an annual forum focused on strengthening trade relations and improving routes to market for Spanish food exporters in the UK.

The summit will feature presentations and panel discussions drawing on insights from food and drink advisory councils and industry experts.

The new showcase also aligns with Foods and Wines from Spain’s wider UK promotional activity, such as the Eat Spain, Drink Spain campaigns, which have partnered with dozens of restaurants, wine merchants, and bars across the UK to spotlight Spanish gastronomy through curated menus, in-store tastings, and special promotions.

“This, coupled with the energy and vision of new generations of Spanish producers, restaurateurs and chefs, puts Spain at the forefront of the culinary world,” Muñoz remarked.

Spain’s expanding presence in the UK market

Spanish food and drink have become increasingly important to the UK’s supply chain and trade landscape. In 2024, the value of Spanish food and drink exports to the UK reached around £4.48 billion, surpassing the US to make the UK the fifth‑largest non‑EU export destination for these products. This figure reflects a 25 per cent growth in exports over the past five years, despite post‑Brexit trade frictions.

Key categories driving this growth include fresh produce – such as fruits and vegetables – and wine, along with olive oil and other speciality foods. In 2023, Spain exported £4.24 billion worth of food and drink to the UK, underlining the UK’s reliance on Spanish produce, particularly in fresh and seasonal categories.
