East Coast Canning partners with Meadow
Australia’s East Coast Canning has signed a partnership deal with Sweden-based packaging business Meadow. The move, which is set to boost eco-canning options for breweries across Australia and New Zealand, marks a forward step for sustainable packaging.
The deal, which will assist in helping East Coast Canning introduce resealable aluminium cans to drinkers across Australia and New Zealand, also gives the business access to more versatile packaging in general.
Speaking about the partnership, East Coast Canning co-founder Chris ‘CK’ Kelly said: “Our understanding of the canning supply chain, from printing to filling and consultation, makes East Coast Canning well placed to accelerate the adoption of this solution in Australia and New Zealand.“
Resealable
The tie-up now introduces a resealable mechanism to the business and this, it has said, means that aluminium packaging would also be suitable for categories beyond traditional beverages.
Meadow CEO and co-founder Victor Ljungberg explained: “Partnering with East Coast Canning marks a step in making aluminium-based packaging accessible on a global scale.”

East Coast Canning is now set to sharpen its focus on supplying packaging, including printed cans and dispensers, allowing existing contract producers and brands to integrate the technology into their operations and feel the benefit of the partnership.
Supporting all businesses
This approach, it has said, is the company’s aim to support scalability and broad market access, not overlooking craft producers that are also looking for packaging solutions.
Both companies have said that the deal will support brands and businesses of all sizes in adopting aluminium packaging.
