Cattier to expand UK presence with Enotria partnership

Champagne house Cattier, one of the region’s leading family-owned estates, is set to raise its profile in the UK with the appointment of Enotria, part of the Majestic Wine Group, as its exclusive on-trade distributor from January 2026.

Champagne house Cattier, one of the region’s leading family-owned estates, is set to raise its profile in the UK with the appointment of Enotria, part of the Majestic Wine Group, as its exclusive on-trade distributor from January 2026.

The deal marks a new chapter for Cattier, bringing its celebrated Champagnes to fine dining restaurants, hotels, bars, and event venues nationwide, while cementing its presence in a key international market.

Enotria, which serves over 10,000 UK on-trade accounts and specialises in family-owned, premium producers, will oversee distribution, reflecting its focus on supporting high-quality, family-run wine estates and complementing its recent rebrand and expansion strategy.

Completing the house’s UK distribution plan

“Majestic were proud to support Champagne Cattier’s re-entry into the UK retail market four years ago and they have become a valued and successful partner of ours,” said John Colley, interim CEO at Enotria.

He added that the new partnership completes Champagne Cattier’s UK distribution plan with “Enotria’s exceptional on-trade network strengthens the house’s presence in hospitality, complemented by Majestic Wine’s established retail distribution.”

Founded in 1625, Cattier remains one of Champagne’s few independent, family-owned houses. Under fourth-generation winemaker Alexandre Cattier, the estate continues a 13-generation legacy, producing wines celebrated for their precision and for expressing the purity of the northern Montagne de Reims slopes – nearly 400 years in the making.

Vineyards

Cattier’s signature multi-vintage blends draw on a reserve library of wines, some aged up to ten years without oak, delivering a balanced profile from 33 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards across Chigny-Les-Roses, Rilly-La-Montagne, and Ludes.

At the heart of the portfolio is the 2.2-hectare walled Clos du Moulin, acquired in 1951. Among the first clos to be reintroduced in Champagne, its cuvée pairs a base vintage with a proportion from a perpetual reserve, including wines dating back to the 1950s.

“The distinctiveness and quality of our Champagnes are perfectly suited to meet the current needs of the UK on-trade market, bringing something both fresh and reliable to the offer,” said Alexandre Cattier.

For Enotria, the house is a natural fit, complementing its portfolio of family-owned, premium estates. With 400 years of heritage, independent ownership, and a signature style, Cattier aligns closely with Enotria’s strategic focus on high-quality producers, completing the house’s UK on-trade distribution plan and extending its reach across the hospitality market.
