Matthew McConaughey Tequila gets UK supermarket listing
Pantalones Tequila, launched by Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila, has gained its first UK supermarket listing with Waitrose.
Organic Tequila brand Pantalones has made its supermarket debut at more than 200 Waitrose locations across the UK with its Blanco expression (£40 for 70cl).
The brand, launched by the Hollywood actor in October 2023, first became available to UK on-trade accounts and wholesalers in June through a partnership with advisory business Hospitality Inc.

As part of the UK activation plan, Pantalones will be served at ice rink, Skate at Somerset House with Virgin Atlantic Holidays. Pantalones is available in Virgin Atlantic hotels in the US. Pantalones will also be featured in the premium retail space at Waitrose Canary Wharf on 1-8 December.
Pantalones’ move into the UK retail space is the latest stage in the brand’s global expansion plan. After launching in October 2024, the Tequila brand rolled out across the whole of the US in September 2024. In February 2025, Pantalones Tequila’s three expressions – blanco, reposado and añejo – became available in Australia at spirits retailer Dan Murphy’s, owned by Endeavour Group.
