Taylor’s Port teams up with The Secret Bottle Shop to back UK wildlife
Consumers can now raise funds for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust by purchasing Taylor’s Ports through a dedicated online page.

Taylor’s Port has announced a new partnership with The Secret Bottle Shop in Hereford to raise money for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), a UK charity dedicated to conservation science and enhancing biodiversity across the British countryside.
Collaboration to benefit the GWCT
From 20 October 2025, customers will be able to purchase selected Taylor’s Ports through a dedicated page on The Secret Bottle Shop’s website. Taylor’s Port will donate 5% of the retail sales value of all Ports purchased via the page to the GWCT, provided the code GAME is entered at checkout or mentioned during a phone order.
Lisa O’Donnell, director of Fladgate & Fortified Wines, said: “We have worked with The Secret Bottle Shop for many years, and we are pleased to be able to collaborate with one of our key customers to help bring attention to GWCT and a cause that is very close to Taylor’s Port. Taylor’s is a brand rooted in tradition and driven by sustainability, and we proudly support initiatives that safeguard our rural heritage, while sharing our deep appreciation for exceptional Port with those who cherish the countryside.”

Supporting sustainable countryside management
The GWCT has been conducting scientific research into British game and wildlife management for more than 90 years. Chief Executive Nick von Westenholz welcomed the initiative, saying: “We are so pleased to have the support of both Taylor’s Port and Secret Bottle Shop in raising money for the GWCT. For over 90 years we have been researching and developing game and wildlife management techniques, and we use our research to provide training and advice on how best to improve the biodiversity of the countryside. All of this hard work needs to be funded, and we are very grateful to everyone who is helping us to achieve our aims.”
Edward Symonds, founder and director of The Secret Bottle Shop, added: “The Secret Bottle Shop is an independent wine and spirits business based in Herefordshire, run by a small but dedicated team with a shared passion for exceptional wines and spirits. We are delighted to be part of this exciting initiative. Being rooted in rural Herefordshire, we have strong ties to our local farming community, making this collaboration a perfect fit for us.”
Taylor’s Port has been working with the GWCT for the past two years, supplying Port for the charity’s events. Both organisations share a commitment to sustainable land management and biodiversity. Taylor’s sustainable vineyard model integrates natural vegetation and woodland among its vines to promote ecological diversity and resilience.
