IWCBD reveals 2026 theme to ‘unite’ the beer industry

The global beer industry campaign International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) will return for 2026 with the theme: Unite Belonging. db reports.

The global beer industry campaign International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) will return for 2026 with the theme: Unite Belonging.

The 2026 campaign, run by Women On Tap CIC and in partnership with the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) also marks the launch of a new IWCBD campaign poster which will be sold as a fundraiser to help fund the initiative.

‘Belonging’ is key

Speaking to the drinks business, Women On Tap CIC founder, Rachel Auty said: “For the 2026 campaign we hope to motivate even more people to come together at local brew days, and this message of belonging is absolutely key.”

Auty explained: “Too many people are feeling disconnected and alone. As much as we may believe what we do is for everyone, so many don’t think that includes them. We need to actively let our communities know that we care, and we need to work at creating spaces and opportunities for belonging that are authentic and truly inclusive. That’s exactly what the work of Women On Tap is all about, and the IWCBD campaign is the perfect place to do more of this work.”

Supportive and feel-good spaces

Describing her ambitions for the campaign for 2026 and beyond, Auty told db: “I’d love to see more brew days in more communities, with more diversity across participant groups and more people feeling inspired by the supportive and feel-good spaces we know this industry can create. I’m excited to see what happens next as we get this amazing initiative up and running again.”

Partner Content

Past IWCBD participants, the Women On Tap Changemakers and the Women On Tap Advisory Board helped to choose the 2026 theme and noted that “the brew days will celebrate the power of belonging, because no one should feel like an outsider in beer, in our communities, or in the world”.

Beer, art, recipes and fundraising

Women On Tap is now inviting breweries across the globe to rally the troops, get creative, and let everyone in their local communities know they are welcome, be it through the brew day main event, launch, artwork, fundraising, or the beer recipe itself.

Auty added: “The need to open our doors and our hearts and cultivate a safe and welcoming space for all has never been more urgent. No one should feel like an outsider in beer, in our communities, or in the world. This year, we want the IWCBD campaign to reach out to those feeling disconnected, lost or isolated and let them know ‘You belong and are welcome here.’ We can’t wait to see what the amazing people in this industry come up with.”

Get involved

For those interested in taking part, the IWCBD sign up form will launch on 31 October. Following that, an online event will be held in November 2025 where anyone can find out more about IWCBD and how you can get involved.

Details on how to pre-order a printed copy of the IWCBD 2026 poster will follow on the Women On Tap CIC website and social media.
