This week db went from harvest in the Loire to Wembley with Coldplay and Chelsea with Bushmills, with wine, Champagne and whisky all in the spotlight.
Harvest and hospitality with Gratien & Meyer

In Saumur, db visited leading Crémant producer Gratien & Meyer, exploring its vineyards and historic cellars as the harvest got underway in the Loire Valley. Highlights included a Crémant and chocolate pairing session, as well as dining at La Table du Château Gratien, where an abundance of plates and wines showcased the estate’s culinary flair, and Le Bistro de la Place in town, known for its vibrant seasonal dishes.
Laurent-Perrier takes centre stage at Wembley

On Tuesday night, Laurent-Perrier joined Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour for its London leg at Wembley Stadium. Guests sipped Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne from recyclable aluminium glasses while dancing robots entertained the crowd ahead of Chris Martin and co’s kaleidoscopic performance. In line with the band’s sustainability ethos, the entire sound system was powered by e-batteries and a tree was planted for every ticket sold.
Bushmills’ 12 Year Old arrives in Chelsea

Bushmills marked the arrival of its permanent 12 Year Old at The Wee Sister, Anna Haugh’s Chelsea wine bar next door to her restaurant Myrtle, during a tasting which paired whiskies with fortified wines, the Marsala-finished expression meeting a Marsala Dolce, with the new release launching this September at £42 RRP.
